Rise and Shine: Silver at the breakfast table

In 2011 the London Silver Vaults will celebrate all things culinary with three themed dining and cooking exhibitions during the year. We start on 4 February with Rise & Shine featuring breakfast table silver. On June 1 we go summery with Just Desserts:
Silver Service for a Perfect Summer Pudding. And then from October 2 we celebrate the culinary arts with The Cook's Kitchen: Culinary Silverware & Gifts for Epicures.

We all deserve at least one leisurely breakfast each week, with family or friends, and this first exhibition will show how silver can make it that bit more special. Think silver teapots...don't drip and stay warm..egg warmers (dreamed up by Lord Argyll),rolltop serving dishes for a 'full English', egg cups, toast racks, coffee canisters, butter knives, enamelled coffee spoons and napkin rings.
