Spring selling exhibition: Three centuries of candlesticks The Spring selling exhibition at The London Silver Vaults, features a beautiful variety of silver candlesticks and candelabra from the early 18th century to the contemporary. Flickering candlelight at the dining table sets the tone for the most stylish dinners, and the selection of antique and modern silver to be displayed encompasses all tastes from timeless Georgian elegance to modern avant garde. As a variation on candlesticks and candelabra, the exhibition includes all related items (viz Carrying the Flame) such as oil lamps, chambersticks, tapers, wax jacks, table & cigar lighters, Vesta cases, even electric lamps, and such vital accoutrements as candle snuffers and wick trimmers.
